INVITATION
TO THE FINAL CONSULTATION WORKSHOP
ON THE PUBLIC AWARENESS RAISING PROGRAM
FOR COMMUNITY-BASED DISASTER RISK MANAGEMENT 2013 – 2020
Under the umbrella of the National Strategy for Natural Disaster
Prevention, Response and Mitigation up to 2020 (NS), the Prime Minister of
the Socialist Republic ofViet Nam approved the “Community Awareness Raising
and Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM)” program in decision
1002/QĐ-TTg dated 13 July 2009.
To facilitate and support the implementation of the program, the World Bank
through its Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR)
provided technical assistance to MARD in developing the public awareness
raising program for community-based disaster risk management 2013 – 2020.
The Water Resources Directorate of MARD sent the Letter No. 451/TCTL-GNTT
dated 06 May 2013 requesting comments from relevant agencies to the final
draft of the subject program and has received comments from them.
Implementing the steering of MARD leadership, the Water Resources
Directorate would like to invite you to the final consulttion workshop:
Contents: Get final comments to the
final draft of the program (see the workshop agenda
attached)
Time/date: 08:30 – 11:30, 31 May 2013
