Importance: High

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to call for a quick technical meeting of UNDRMT and cluster leads to discuss on the current situation of typhoon NARI (TS No. 10) on 17 Oct 2013 from 9-10AM at Rose Conference Room.

Please see attached the latest CCFSC Situation report of the Typhoon (sorry in Vietnamese only). Initial damages have been reported and the damages have added up further the impacts of previous typhoon WUTIP in central provinces. Worst affect is Quang Nam, Da Nang, Hue and Quang Tri. So far, 5 people were killed and missing, 49 injured; housing and public buildings are further damaged. Serious damages on livelihoods across provinces. Infrastructures in Danang city were also severely affected.

You are kindly request to share information of your relevant cluster (if any) available and any course of action made so far. We aims to provide a first Sitrep of this typhoon by end of tomorrow as well as update on UN response to the previous typhoon WUTIP.

Thank you very much for your attention.

Kind regards,
