[dmwg] Seeking Contribution for Asian Disaster Management News (ADPC): Special Edition on Engaging Private Sector in Disaster Risk Reduction

The Asian Disaster Management News is a newsletter published by Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (www.adpc.net) for more than a decade now focussing thematic topics on natural disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation in South and Southeast Asia.

The forthcoming issue will be released  on 15 June of 2014 as a special edition on "Engaging Private Sector in Disaster Risk Reduction”. This cover topics on business case of disaster risk and resilient investments, supply chain management, business continuity planning and innovative tools by private sectors in natural disaster risk reduction. The newsletter would be disseminated at the 6th Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, hosted by the Royal Thailand Government  

We are looking for two case studies from Vietnam where private sector including SMEs have done well in assisting in disaster risk reduction activities at local level.  

If you are interested and would like to contribute, my colleague Ms. Prim (chanidabha at adpc.net) would provide you assistance and guidelines for the article.
