In collaboration with Malaysia Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP), MERCY Malaysia is proud and honoured to announce that once again selected as one of the MTCP training institutions to offer short term course on Emergency Disaster Response & Recovery. The 5-days training focused to develop understanding and knowledge on emergency disaster response & recovery intervention. 

 

The MTCP was officially launched on 7th September 1980 at the Commonwealth Heads of State Meeting in New Delhi to signify Malaysia’s commitment to South-South Cooperation, particularly Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries (TCDC). The MTCP is based on the belief that the development of a country depends on the quality of its human resources. MTCP reflects the Malaysian Government’s commitment towards the promotion of technical cooperation among developing countries, strengthening of regional and sub-regional cooperation and as nurturing collective self-reliance among developing countries. More than 100 short-term specialized courses are offered by more than 50 MTCP training institutions. Since its launch, more than 20,000 participants from 140 countries have benefited from the various programmes offered under the MTCP.  

 

The details for the training program are as follows:

 

Date: 18th – 22nd May 2015 

Venue: Seri Pacific Hotel, Jalan Putra 50350 Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Application deadline: 31st March 2015

The attached brochure provides the detailed information regarding the course. All applications must be endorsed and submitted by the participating countries through the respective Ministry of Foreign Affairs/focal points. (Alternatively, you can contact the Malaysian Embassy or High Commission in your country for endorsement inquiries). 

 

*Kindly note all expenses for the selected participants including flights and lodging will be borne by the organiser. All workshops will be conducted in English.
