Subject: [Ngo Climate Change] RESENT_Consultation workshop - Community based climate change initiatives in Vietnam

Dear CCWG colleagues,

CCWG is documenting around 20 outstanding best practices of community based climate change initiatives (CBCCIs) of CCWG's members (not only adaptation initiatives, but also welcome mitigation ones or synergy between adaptation & mitigation) in order to target policy makers to demonstrate that the network generates high quality and pertinent input for climate change policy planning and implementation. The synthesis report is expected to be a tool for climate change advocacy which will be launched during COP 21 in Paris.

To identify the most pertinent CBCCIs in Vietnam and initiate the information collection and writing process, you are kindly invited to the 1st consultation & writing workshop facilitated by Mr. Koos Neefjes - external climate change expert in Hanoi with below information:

Time: 1.30-5pm, Friday 18 September 2015
Venue: meeting hall A3, Military Guest House, 33A Pham Ngu Lao street, Hanoi
Facilitator: Mr. Koos Neefjes

Notes:
a) The writing of the CBCCI cases will be initiated here and some CCWG members will be invited to provide more "raw text" after the workshop, but final writing/ editing done by the external expert.
b) Participants are invited to bring their laptops, including files with case material regarding climate change work that their organisations have been doing over the past years
c) The documentation sources should allow for triangulation, meaning that at least some of the information must come from different and/or independent sources in order to increase the quality and trustworthiness of the analysis.

We do hope your practical experiences and knowledge related to CBCCIs will contribute to the successful of this workshop as well as to the CBCCIs synthesis report. Kindly confirm your participation to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong, email NguyenThiThu.Phuong at careint.org<mailto:NguyenThiThu.Phuong at careint.org>, tel: 098 311 3384 no later than 17th September, 2015 for better logistic arrangement.
