Dear DMWG Joint Assessment Team Members, 

The DMWG has worked closely with your Organisation over the past years to
improve information exchange, emergency relief response and coordination.
Our strong relationship has been important to make sure we can provide
relief to the people that need it most.

The DMWG began in the period immediately following the floods of 1999 when
it was felt that NGOs in Viet Nam needed to coordinate their relief
operations more closely. Since 2001, the Group has continued to meet
regularly and has also held emergency meetings when there is a need for
joint actions in relation to disasters in Viet Nam.

Disaster season is starting again and the DMWG will now hold its annual
workshop.

Time:              Thursday and Friday, 22-23 September 2016 

Venue:            Meeting Room, Save the Children in Vietnam
