[dmwg] Floods Response Plan - Viet Nam

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Co-Chairs of the Disaster Management Group in Viet Nam, we are pleased to share the Viet Nam Floods Response Plan, which can also be downloaded here https://reliefweb.int/report/viet-nam/viet-nam-floods-response-plan-2020

The Floods Response Plan reflects those areas the Government of Viet Nam has asked for support and aims to augment the wider government response. To ensure no one is left behind, the Floods Response Plan is focused on meeting the needs of those most vulnerable, supporting them with multi sector assistance, including Emergency Shelter & NFI; Education; Food Security, Agriculture & Livelihoods; Health; Nutrition; Protection and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH).

As confirmed during the Disaster management Group (DMG) meeting, the Response Plan has been developed in close consultation with sector leads, UN Agencies, INGOs/NGOs and the Viet Nam Red Cross. And will be monitored with regular Situation Updates as well as the 3W matrix (Who does What, Where). Should there be significant change in the situation the plan can be amended.

You are encouraged to circulate the plan widely to support coordination and resource mobilization efforts. The Office of the UN Resident Coordinator supported by OCHA will support such efforts.

Many thanks to sector leads, UN Agencies, NGOs/INGOs and the Viet Nam Red Cross for their contributions and continuous response efforts to flood affected people in Central Viet Nam.
