Hence, they are facilitating an online survey to gather our inputs for the above-mentioned analysis. Our experience and recommendations are important to guide, not only the review of DesInventar but also the innovation of existing and new disaster loss data related functionality

Please take a few minutes before 26 September to complete the survey below according to your affiliation. UN Agency and INGOs/NGOs should be the third link, while Government representatives first or second.

Best regards,

Excellencies,
Dear partners and colleagues,
We hope this message finds you well despite the difficult times.

UNDRR, jointly with UNDP, is undertaking a Disaster Loss Data System Discovery and Needs Analysis (DLD D&NA) to review the DesInventar<https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.desinventar.net%2F&data=02%7C01%7Calberto.solaro.del.borgo%40one.un.org%7C8822910085c34f28bd2b08d8605a8958%7Cb3e5db5e2944483799f57488ace54319%7C0%7C0%7C637365289265807466&sdata=aktpeqQN6TaAiQ3vmTDXGszC0Upk8C42lsSHyT1jb0o%3D&reserved=0> system and its contribution to the Sendai Framework Monitor (SFM). Hence, we are facilitating an online survey to gather your inputs for the above-mentioned analysis. Your experience and recommendations are important to guide, not only the review of DesInventar but also the innovation of existing and new disaster loss data related functionality.
According to your affiliation and status in regards of disaster loss data system in use, please select your survey from the following three options:

  * DLD D&NA survey for Governments using DesInventar<https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fforms.gle%2FV58rmog99TxjjNZt5&data=02%7C01%7Calberto.solaro.del.borgo%40one.un.org%7C8822910085c34f28bd2b08d8605a8958%7Cb3e5db5e2944483799f57488ace54319%7C0%7C0%7C637365289265817458&sdata=5%2FXwa8%2B0HsAP2bRv3mefAsw%2BGuH54knku1%2F3eR1137M%3D&reserved=0>
  * DLD D&NA survey for Governments not using DesInventar<https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fforms.gle%2FdXXjM3v8gbLakBUSA&data=02%7C01%7Calberto.solaro.del.borgo%40one.un.org%7C8822910085c34f28bd2b08d8605a8958%7Cb3e5db5e2944483799f57488ace54319%7C0%7C0%7C637365289265817458&sdata=iUs1YUmwCPLAT1ivtvY%2B2%2B0l5pLctYkIcPKlm4etiM8%3D&reserved=0>
  * DLD D&NA survey for stakeholders and partners from development agencies, civil society organizations, private sector, academia, consultants, media, etc.<https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fforms.gle%2FP8mFzx3eaXYTa9w89&data=02%7C01%7Calberto.solaro.del.borgo%40one.un.org%7C8822910085c34f28bd2b08d8605a8958%7Cb3e5db5e2944483799f57488ace54319%7C0%7C0%7C637365289265827456&sdata=3Or9bAIq2MiavMEY3OGXkKi5YZrEDjnztnsIqBIa%2FQk%3D&reserved=0>
Through the analysis, we aim to identify key challenges and are seeking your practical recommendations to improve disaster-related data ecosystems, disaster damage and loss data and its use for risk reduction as well as for reporting through the Sendai Framework Monitor. The results of this survey will inform future initiatives to support countries on risk and disaster related data analysis and application. We are keen to hear your views and look forward to your contribution. Please feel free to share the survey with colleagues, partners and stakeholders

For the DLD D&NA, we are introducing our consultant, Ms Jutta May, who is included here as "cc". If you would like to speak with Jutta directly, please do contact her on her email: jutta.may at gmx.net<mailto:jutta.may at gmx.net>.

The survey will be open until 26 September 2020 and we really appreciate your time and inputs. Please do take the time to complete the survey and contribute to this important endeavor. Feel free to forward this message to whoever person in your organization you believe is best positioned to respond to the survey proposed.

Thank you for your participation and stay safe
