Its mission is to save the sight and lives of the most<br>vulnerable and disadvantaged by combating the causes and consequences of<br>blindness and malnutrition. We do this by establishing programs based on<br>evidence and research in eye health and nutrition. <br>In Vietnam, we are currently seeking a Program Assistant to be monitor and<br>evaluate our ChildSight program located in Kon Tum. ChildSight is a program<br>designed to provide school-based vision-care services where screening,<br>refraction, distribution of eye glasses and eye health referrals are<br>provided to marginalized communities. We are currently moving onto our<br>second year of the program and plan on adding 10 additional schools for<br>screening. In partnership with the Local Department of Health, Center for<br>Social Disease Prevention, Kon Tum hospital and Local Department of<br>Education, HKI will work alongside these partners to ensure ChildSight's<br>expansion is a success. This will require the assistance of the Program<br>Assistant to ensure constant collaboration and communication among all<br>partners and daily reporting to HKI-Vietnam to track and trouble-shoot the<br>progress of the program. <br>Job Summary:<br>The Program Assistant will be required to monitor all program activities and<br>report to the Country Representative and Program Coordinator. In<br>collaboration with all stakeholders and partners, the Program Assistant will<br>be involved in all meetings and present at all events related to ChildSight.<br>Development of surveys and communication media, collection and analysis of<br>data, implementation of activities, performance of qualitative observations,<br>and consistent monitoring and evaluation of ChildSight objectives will be<br>required. <br><br>Report to: Country Representative<br>Collaborate with: Program Coordinator and<br>Finance Administrator<br><br><br>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br><br>*<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Help manage and supervise the implementation of the ChildSight<br>HKI-VN in Kon Tum in collaboration with local partners;<br>*<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Develop and strengthen partnerships with local partner and key<br>stakeholders, maintaining relationships with relevant authorities; <br>*<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Develop, collect and analyze Baseline/Endline surveys, Quality of<br>Life Surveys, and Pre/Post Test for trainings;<br>*<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Assist in the design of monitoring and evaluation protocol;<br>*<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Improve and distribute ChildSight communication materials;<br>*<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Monitor and track the progress of ChildSight ensuring activities are<br>carried out in appropriate timely manner;<br>*<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Report to Country Representative, Program Coordinator and Finance<br>Administrator of ChildSight progress;<br>*<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Assist local partners through participating in training program of<br>teachers and community health workers; <br>*<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Make monthly reports consisting of observations and documentation of<br>work in the field while making recommendations to improve the program ;<br>.
