INVITATION
WORKSHOP ON CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT FOR
LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS

Venue: Hanoi Club, 76 Yen Phu street, Tay Ho district, Hanoi
Date: January 8, 2015, from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

USAID has recently launched the Partner Capacity Development (PCD) Program to build institutional capacity of Vietnamese agencies, organizations and individuals in a wide range of issues that USAID is working on, including economic growth and inclusion, private sector partnerships and innovation, HIV/AIDS, climate change and disaster risk reduction, disability and vulnerable populations, avian and pandemic influenza, education, and environmental remediation.

The implementer of this program is the Institute of International Education (IIE), a U.S. non-governmental organization. IIE has been working in Vietnam for more than two decades to implement scholarship, training and capacity building programs.

To introduce PCD program and identify key interventions, training needs and interested organizations that PCD can work with to support the capacity development, we would like to invite interested Vietnamese organizations (non-governmental organizations, associations, civil society organizations, community based organizations, institutions, agencies, etc.) who are working in the areas of economic growth and inclusion, private sector partnerships and innovation, climate change and disaster risk reduction, avian and pandemic influenza, education, and environmental remediation to attend to PCD outreach workshop.

Time: 8.30 – 12:00, January 8, 2015

Venue: Hanoi Club, 76 Yen Phu street, Tay Ho district, Hanoi

The workshop will cover the following topics:

·         Overview of the PCD program;

·         Discussion on disadvantages/ difficulties that Vietnamese civil society organizations might be encountered and capacity building solutions;

·         Conduct rapid capacity building assessment of organizational and individual staff and identify appropriate capacity building methodologies;

·         Plan for capacity building activities at civil Vietnamese society non-government organizations in 2015 and roadmap for coming years.

Cơ quan Phát triển Quốc tế Hoa Kỳ (USAID) đang triển khai Chương trình Phát triển Năng lực Đối tác (PCD) nhằm tăng cường năng lực của các cơ quan Việt Nam, các tổ chức và cá nhân làm việc trong các lĩnh vực mà USAID quan tâm, bao gồm tăng trưởng kinh tế và hội nhập toàn diện, hợp tác khu vực tư nhân, đổi mới, HIV/AIDS, biến đổi khí hậu và giảm thiểu rủi ro thiên tai, người khuyết tật và dễ bị tổn thương, dịch cúm gia cầm và đại dịch cúm, giáo dục và xử lý môi trường.

Viện Giáo dục Quốc tế - một tổ chức phi chính phủ của Mỹ (IIE) - là đơn vị thực hiện chương trình. IIE đã hoạt động ở Việt Nam được trên 20 năm, thực hiện các chương trình về đào tạo, học bổng và xây dựng năng lực.

Nhằm giới thiệu Chương trình PCD, xác định các nhu cầu về nâng cao năng lực của các tổ chức có quan tâm, Chương trình PCD trân trọng mời các tổ chức Việt Nam (các tổ chức phi chính phủ Việt Nam, các hiệp hội, các tổ chức xã hội dân sự, các tổ chức dựa vào cộng đồng,  các trung tâm và các cơ quan, v.v.) đang làm việc trong lĩnh vực tăng trưởng kinh tế và hội nhập toàn diện, hợp tác khu vực tư nhân và đổi mới, biến đổi khí hậu và giảm thiểu rủi ro thiên tai, dịch cúm gia cầm và đại dịch, giáo dục và xử lý môi trường… tham dự hội thảo Phát triển năng lực đối tác.

Thời gian: 8:30 – 12:00, ngày 08 tháng 01 năm 2015

Địa điểm: Hanoi Club, 76 Yên Phụ, Quận Tây Hồ, Hà Nội.

Hội thảo bao gồm những chủ đề sau:

·         Giới thiệu tổng quan về PCD;

·         Thảo luận về hạn chế, khó khăn mà các tổ chức của Việt Nam đang gặp phải và các giải pháp nâng cao năng lực nhằm khắc phục các khó khăn;

·         Đánh giá nhanh về nhu cầu nâng cao năng lực của tổ chức, cán bộ của tổ chức và xác định các phương pháp nâng cao năng lực phù hợp;

·         Xây dựng kế hoạch nâng cao năng lực chi tiết cho các tổ chức, cán bộ của tổ chức trong năm 2015 và lộ trình cho các năm tiếp theo.
