It is especially suited for those health care providers whose access to learning is limited by time, financial resources or other constraints and for whom access to quality education in the field of sexual and reproductive health is limited.<br><br><strong><u><span style='font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'>About the Course</span></u></strong><br><br>This is a 7-month distance learning online training course (from May to November). Eligible candidates are all health professionals, paramedical staff, project planners and managers in health-related areas and social scientists. <br><br><strong><span style='font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'>Course Contents</span></strong>:<br>1) A core module on Research methodology;<br>2) Maternal and perinatal health;<br>3) Sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS;<br>4) Family planning;<br>5) Adolescent sexual and reproductive health;<br>6) Community genetics;<br>7) Sexual and Reproductive Rights.<br><br>Course structure consists of lectures, presentations, links to resource documents and recommended readings. A personal coach is assigned to each course participant and facilitates the learning process. <br><strong><span style='font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'>Module Validation</span></strong>:<br>In order to validate a module the participants are required to develop a written assignment and answer a series of Multiple Choice Questions.<br><br><strong><span style='font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'>Certification</span></strong>:<br>At the end of the course, the participants are required to produce a research project with the assistance of their tutor. The successful participants will be rewarded a certificate.<br><br><strong><span style='font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'>Workshop in Geneva</span></strong>:<br>The top 15 participants will be selected and invited to attend a 1-week intensive workshop at the WHO office in Geneva.
