2012 Workshop in Survival Analysis announcement

Dear colleagues,


It is our pleasure to inform that the 2012 *Survival Analysis* workshop
will be held at Hanoi School of Public Health from October 22 to October
26, 2012 at Hanoi School of Public Health.


This course is a good course in statistics or biostatistics and an
understanding of the basic tools: paired and independent samples *t*-tests,
simple linear regression and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA),
contingency tables and Χ2 (chi-square) analyses. Experience with
multivariable linear regression and logistic regression is also necessary,
and participants will be assumed to have an understanding of confounding,
interaction, and mediation within these techniques.


*Course requirements:*

·         Participants who are working for medical universities or
Government organizations do not have to pay tuition fees

·         Participants who are working for NGOs must pay US$200 if they
want to join the course

·         Participants must have basic knowledge of epidemiology,
biostatistics and quantitative research background.

·         Besides, participants must have experiences in using statistical
software, such as STATA, SPSS, and SAS.

·         Class time is from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm. Participants are required
to fully take part in the course.

*NOTE: The course will be taught in English and p**articipants must bring
their own laptop with installed software. ***
