------------

Dependable Progress is a social enterprise based in Ho Chi Minh City that
empowers disadvantaged women with the potential to begin careers as domestic
helpers. DP trainees are equipped with a set of standard operating procedures
in cleaning, cooking and early childhood development enhancement along with the
soft skills, English and cultural understanding needed to serve customers.

We accomplish this by first identifying qualifying trainees
through our network of socially oriented NGOs operating in HCMC. Then, trainees
complete a 300 hour training course(supported in part by REACH) which prepares them to meet the
needs of customers.  Finally, we connect our newly minted
housekeepers, nannies and cooks to expats in need of domestic help.
 Our trainees
begin as beneficiaries from NGOs (women, 18-35, making less than 1.9 M VND /
month , have not begun college and who are either directly receiving other
services from an NGO in HCMC or belong to a family that is receiving other
services from an NGO in HCMC.)

The work and training are physically
demanding and trainees require a high degree of mobility and dexterity. (Trainees will need to navigate one to two multistory
customer homes on a given day, carry items up to 10K up and down stairs and in
many cases and shop for food for customers.)
