[ingo-hcmc] Consultancy Opportunity-IC for gender assessment of the draft law on Civil Status and technical assistance

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

UNDP Vietnam re-launches the procurement process to seek one qualified International Gender Specialist for gender assessment of the draft law on Civil Status and technical assistance to improve the MOJ's gender mainstreaming tool in law drafting.

The objectives of the assignment are to:

*             To analyze gender dimensions of the draft law and to ensure that gender equality principles are mainstreamed and guaranteed in the draft law to safeguard human rights and women's rights in particular in line with CEDAW and relevant international conventions on human rights that Viet Nam has entered.

*             To test and improve the MOJ's Gender mainstreaming tool for law making, taking the lessons learnt from the process of gender assessment of the draft law on Civil Status.

Interested candidates are invited to submit the application with the following documents to Procurement Unit at nguyen.thi.hoang.yen at undp.org<mailto:nguyen.thi.hoang.yen at undp.org>:

1.            Technical proposal including:
-              Curriculum vitae
-              Copy of 1-3 publications/writing samples.
-              Suggested timelines for carrying out the assignment
-              Contact reference of past 4 clients for whom you have rendered preferably the similar service

2.            Financial proposal:
-              The financial proposal shall specify a total lump sum amount in US Dollar including consultancy fees and all associated costs i.e. airfares, travel cost, meal, accommodation, tax, insurance etc. - as given template in Procurement Notice.

Submission deadline: 17.00 hrs., 09 October 2012 (Hanoi time).
