right now I am selected by Youth Service American (YSA) as the Country
Partner for Cambodia for doing the Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) in
2013. However, YSA is recruiting additional Country Partners for other
countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Burma, Lao PDR, Malaysia etc.

Dear Sony,

There were two funding sources available for international groups.
While both deadlines have passed, you can check out our open and
closed grants at http://www.ysa.org/grants. The first was the
Regional Partner grant http://www.ysa.org/grants/regionalpartners that
opened and closed last summer. The second was the Get Ur Good On
Grants http://www.ysa.org/grants/gurgo. Again the deadline for both
these grants has passed, but check regularly at
http://www.ysa.org/grants for our international opportunities.

The main idea behind Global Youth Service Day is that it is a low to
no cost opportunity to do a community youth service project that is
aligned with your mission and the work you are already doing. If
leveraged well, GYSD can help you develop and improve your own
capacity and visibility in your own country, which we hope, will lead
to further funding opportunities. Year after year we hear from past
grantees, Regional and Country partners, and those organizations who
simply put together a GYSD project using our tools, that GYSD open new
doors for them, be it building capacity, new funding sources, raising
visbility and credibility, or making new connections.

Youth Service America continues to look for Corporate Sponsors for our
GYSD international activities. The Regional Partner grants are funded
from YSA's own overhead, and the Get UR Good On grants come from a
private foundation. We are always seeking new funding opportunities
for our international programs and have passed them to our partners in
the past when we come across them.

If a group that you know can not be a Country Partner because of the
lack of funding then we do ask that you share with them the
opportunity to only do a GYSD project and to register it at
www.GYSD.org. Also point out to them the tool kits, links, and
resources available through the site are there to help them organize a
project and also help them build their capacity. A GYSD project can
be 100 youth, or only 5, both are important to us. GYSD is a great,
low to no cost programming opportunity for any youth development
organization, and an opportunity to be connected on a global scale.

Many thanks for your support and hard work. Let me know if you have
any questions.

Sincerely Yours in Service,
Chris Wagner

Dear Chris,

I really know some NGOs working in the ASEAN Member Countries that
some of them are interesting to be the Country Partners but they are
concerning regarding to the benefits and who will finance the Country
Partner for implementing their activities for GYSD? For me, I don't
know too and I cannot answer them well and right now the time is very
short if we count from now till the date of April 26-28, 2013. So,
please explain me and inform me where will we take the funds for our
country partner's activities in the country?

I am waiting to see you reply.

Sincerely yours,
Sony

in Thailand, Laos, Burma, Vietnam or Malaysia, or really any
organizations in South East that might be interested in being a
Country Partner? Here's a list of our open countries
