Subject: FW: A Movie Night with Hagar

Dear Van Ly

As discussed, I am orgnizing a movie night event to raise public awareness for Hagar Vietnam - an international charity organization committed to restoring broken lives for women and children who are victims of human trafficking, sexual exploitation and domestic violence. I have been to their shelter home in Hanoi and was moved by their work and the stories of the victims at the shelter. Although there are more than 400,000 human trafficking cases in Vietnam, you do not hear about them much and Hagar Vietnam is not known due to lack of funding and their office in Vietnam is relatively new ( established since 2009 only ).

If you have the time and would like to see a great movie and give Hagar some support, please try to come and pass the message/ invite along to your friends and colleagues who may be interested.

I look forward to seeing you on the night.

Best Regards
Christina Yu

A Movie Night with Hagar

Inspired by real events, the movie Whistleblower is about Kathy Bolkovac (Rachel Weisz) as a Nebraskan police officer who takes a job working as a peacekeeper in post-war Bosnia. Her expectations of helping to rebuild a devastated country are dashed when she uncovers a dangerous reality of corruption, cover-up and intrigue amid a world of private contractors and multinational diplomatic involvement in human trafficking issues.
Considered as one of the top 10 movies in 2011, its casts include Vanessa Redgrave, Monica Bellucci, and David Strathairn. MPAA Rating : R ( above Age 18 Audience only)

The movie will be followed by a Q & A session with Rafaella Herrera on her experiences in Afghanistan at the same time working as Senior Criminal Justice Advisor with the US State Department and her current involvement as the Vietnam country manager for Hagar International - an international charity organization that is committed to re-build lives of women and children who are victims of human rights abuses, particularly human trafficking, sexual exploitation and domestic violence.

You are cordially invited to the above event on Wed, 20 November 2013 at La Plancha, No 25 Tran Ngoc Dien, Thao Dien, Q2, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 6 pm onwards. Details as attached.
Seats are limited and so please rsvp with Diana Watson (email :chaoveelin at gmail.com<mailto:chaoveelin at gmail.com> ) or Christina Yu ( email: Christina at ipa-nima.com<mailto:Christina at ipa-nima.com>)
