Dear colleagues,

In response to a need for improved information sharing and coordination on climate change in the Mekong Delta, CARE has joined with IUCN and OXFAM to organise a first Mekong Delta Climate Change Networking Meeting on Friday 27th September from 8.30am till 12 in Ho Chi Minh City (venue tbc).

The main objectives of the meeting are:

•  To bring together interested climate change practitioners working on Mekong Delta issues for improved networking
•  To collectively look at past initiatives on information sharing and coordination in the Mekong Delta and learn from previous experiences
•  Based on lessons learned and good practices, to assess potential feasible Mekong Delta climate change networking or ‘working group’ options and agree on a way forward
•  To provide updates on climate change project and program implementation in the South

Attached is the concept note for the meeting including a tentative agenda.
