Kind regards,

Please join us on September 9, 2021 at 8am EST | 2pm Pretoria | 7pm Bangkok for the upcoming webinar on USAID Wildlife Asia: Key Achievements in Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) for Demand Reduction.

The goal of the USAID Wildlife Asia Activity, funded by USAID’s Regional Development Mission for Asia (RDMA), was to end wildlife crime in Asia by employing a comprehensive approach through improved regional cooperation. The Activity aimed to reduce consumer demand for wildlife parts and products; improve enforcement of existing laws, policies and agreements related to wildlife crime; contribute to passing new laws, policies or reforms; improve cooperation and collaboration among law enforcement; and increase collaboration and coordination between development partners and USG agencies involved in combating wildlife trafficking. As a sub to RTI, FHI 360 led the Activity’s consumer demand reduction activities in China, Thailand and Vietnam.

What we will discuss: This webinar will highlight innovative use of SBCC approaches for demand reduction, share results that demonstrate measurable impact of SBCC campaigns on consumer demand for wildlife parts and products, and highlight learning for future environment, climate change, and wildlife programs.
