colleagues,<br><br>On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to
announce and invite you to the International Workshop on Nuclear Science and
Simulation in fundamental and applied researches (IWNSS-2014), which will
take place from Oct. 31th, 2014 to Nov. 01st, 2014 and is hosted by Ton Duc
Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.<br>
<br>The workshop aims at discussing the various theoretical and simulation
tools in use in fundamental and applied nuclear sciences. The emphasis will
be placed, in particular, on the description of the structure, excitation
modes and reactions of atomic nuclei at low and moderate energies as well as
on the various simulation approaches to the interaction of radiations with
matter.<br>
<br>It will therefore focus on: </div><div><br><b>· Theoretical
nuclear physics</b><br>Presenters are requested to pay attention to the
description of methods, both theoretical and numerical, with their limits as
well as the validity of their assumptions and so on.<br>
<b>· Simulation in nuclear science</b><br>Presenters are requested to pay
attention to the description of detector simulation, data analysis, their
limits as well as the validity of their assumptions and so on. Simulation
approaches in the bio-medical and nuclear energy domains are also
welcome.<br>
<div><b>· Medical physics and applications</b><br><br><br></div><div>The
deadline for the online registration and abstract submission is <b>15
