[ingodirectors] INGOs Inputs for Aid Effectiveness Forum Progress Report

Dear INGO directors,

I invite those INGOs which participated in the Aid Effectiveness Forum 
(AEF) and/or INGOs which incorporated the AEF agenda in their programmes 
in Vietnam -- to provide a brief response to the attached template and 
email it to me by 25 October (next Tuesday). I will consolidate your 
inputs and submit to the AEF Secretariat. I would appreciate if you 
could draft one paragraph (up to 1 page) summarizing your achievements, 
challenges and recommendations related to the AEF. The AEF Secretariat 
is preparing Progress Report for the 4th High Level Forum in Busan and 
the Consultative Group Meeting in Hanoi.

Involvement of INGOs with the AEF in Vietnam has been minimal during the 
past couple of years. It is only at the last AEF National Consultation 
Workshop on the 30th September that the AEF invited several selected 
INGOs. In the past, only pro-active INGOs participated intermittently. 
However, some of you may have been involved directly or through your 
headquarters. The enclosed template provides a very broad framework and 
it is not self-explanatory. INGOs that are not familiar with documents 
mentioned in the template will probably have nothing to report. I 
address those of you who have been involved and have something to report.
