Dear INGO directors:

In November 2016 we received your nominations for 2 candidates who
meet the criteria for INGO representative at Vietnam Development Forum
(VDF). The elections were postponed since the co-chair (Ministry of
Planning and Investment) decided not to invite the whole INGO
delegation. This year we hope to be there and would like to start
preparations for VDF.

Please take 2 minutes of your time and cast your (electronic) vote.
Simply send a short email to <markongorc at gmail.com> by next Tuesday, 3
October 2017, stating: .."I vote for [only one name]".. You can choose
between these two candidates:

1. Ms. Eva-Maria Jongen is Director of the Regional Office for Bread
for the World (BftW) in Vietnam and Laos since 2014. She has a MA in
Social Science, Mediation and Systemic Project Management; and has
been engaged professionally in the areas of conflict transformation,
development cooperation and research. For the past 20 years, Eva
worked with universities, different agencies and INGOs in Timor Leste,
Nairobi, Afghanistan, Vietnam and Laos. BftW supports 45 partner
organisations with funding and capacity building. Its objective is to
strengthen civil society and self-managing capacities of local
communities, while contributing to sustainable development and poverty
reduction. BftW target groups include ethnic minorities in remote
areas and vulnerable groups, such as LGBTQs. Eva is familiar with
development cooperation and governmental institutions from different
perspectives: working as an adviser and a leading manager for INGOs
and local NGOs. Her strengths include professional cooperative
political dialogues, lifelong learning and commitment to development
of inclusive and just societies.

2. Mr. Robert Letchford is Project Director of the USAID Partner
Capacity Development Program, implemented by the Institute of
International Education (IIE), since September 2015. Robert has 16
years of experience working as a consultant and practitioner in the
overseas aid and development. He worked in Indonesia, Timor Leste,
Solomon Islands, Afghanistan, Kenya, Liberia, South Africa and
Vietnam. Robert is primarily focused on performance improvement and
organisational development working with public sector and
not-for-profit organisations to enhance capacity — both institutional
and human.

Please note that each INGO has one vote. Your vote will be eligible if
your organisation has paid 2017 membership fee to the VUFO-NGO
Resource Centre. For those directors who are not familiar with VDF —
