Dear colleagues,

Following our call for elections in late August 2019, you have sent
many votes supporting all four candidates. Thank you for taking the
time and cast your electronic votes. Two of the candidates received
the majority of your votes. I am happy to announce that you have
elected the following two people as new members of the Steering
Committee for the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre:

Ms. Carol Mortensen, Executive Director at Hagar International in Vietnam
Mr. Jon Ragne Bolstad, Country Director at Norwegian Mission Alliance

As a gentle reminder, you can read a short summary of their
professional biographies:

Carol Mortensen is a member of Hagar's global Group Executive Team and
the Executive Director of Hagar International Vietnam. She has lived
and worked in the Asia region for more than 20 years, providing senior
leadership and management of Hagar Vietnam and quality assurance and
compliance standards globally, across nine offices. Carol has
established one international and one national agency and managed
staffs of up to 350 persons, holding a Masters in International
Development, Leadership, Institutional Strengthening and
Organisational Development Training. She has documented situational
analysis for national governments, NGOs and networks, conducted donor
and NGO project evaluations, and participated at the high-level
national and regional donor dialogues, government and NGO working
groups, think tanks and boards of director. These include UN Women
committee, Cambodia National Counter-Trafficking working group and the
Cooperation Committee of Cambodia. In Vietnam Carol is a member of the
INGO Task Force for revision of the INGO legislation. She is a
strategic and mature leader with excellent understanding of the local
context and changing landscape, also experienced in government
relations. She is passionate and committed to work with INGO leaders
on building a strong civil society, strengthening national policies
and implementing standards for vulnerable communities.

Jon Ragne Bolstad has been the Country Director for Norwegian Mission
Alliance in Vietnam, based in Ho Chi Minh city, since 2016. Norwegian
Mission Alliance reaches around 50,000 people each year through
Climate Change Resilience and Inclusion of People with Disabilities
projects. The organisation’s annual budget is around 1,100,000 US
dollars. Norwegian Mission Alliance serves as the co-chair of the Ho
Chi Minh City INGO Discussion Group. Jon is a board member of the
Mekong Organization of Microfinance, an institution established by
Norwegian Mission Alliance with over 43,000 clients. He has worked in
international development for more than 20 years, including two years
at the Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia and CARE Norway as Marketing
and Communication Director. Jon has an Executive Master of Management
