Please note that each organization can vote for only one candidate. In order to make your decision easier, I have enclosed short biographies for the four candidates:</div>
<div><br></div><div>---------------------------------------------------------------�</div><div>Jonathon Guthrie took the role of Country Director for Norwegian People's Aid (NPA) in April 2010. NPA is a Norwegian based INGO working in more than 30 countries world-wide. NPA engagement centres on just distribution of power and resources through long term development cooperation and the protection of life and health through mine and explosive ordnance clearance. NPA's portfolio in Vietnam includes a mine action project based in Hue, support of capacity building under the Restoring the Environment and Neutralizing the Effects of the War (RENEW) project in Quang Tri province, support and building the capacity of the Vietnam Bomb and Mine clearance Action Centre (VBMAC) under MoLISA through the establishment of a national database for Mine action, support of the Social Policy Ecology Research Institute (SPERI) in their national resource management research projects in Lao Cai, and support to the Institute for Studies of Social, Economy and Environment within civil society research. Prior to moving to Vietnam, Jonathon was the Country Programme Manager for NPA's explosive ordnance programme in Georgia. Before employment with NPA, Jonathon was based in Lao PDR, employed as the Country Operations Manager for a private explosive ordnance clearance company.</div>
<div><br></div><div>---------------------------------------------------------------�</div><div>Hannah Bryce moved to Vietnam in 2010 to take up the role of Country Programme Manager with the Mines Advisory Group (MAG). Before moving to Vietnam Hannah had spent the previous 4 years working in Sudan, first with GOAL, an NGO focusing on primary health care, water and sanitation and livelihoods project, and then with Mines Advisory Group (MAG) as a Programme Officer and Project Manager. Before moving to Sudan Hannah was based in London working with a private company which were outsourced by DFID as their Health Resource Centre. Hannah has a LLB in law and a Graduate Diploma in International Development, both from the LSE.</div>
<div><br></div><div>---------------------------------------------------------------</div><div>Hang Thi Bich Nguyen has been Country Representative for Marie Stopes International in Vietnam since 1998. Marie Stopes is a UK-based international NGO and a social enterprise specializing in Sexual and Reproductive health. Prior to working for Marie Stopes International, Hang was Chief Representative of Prieure Ltd, an Australian-based investment consultant company and has also worked for the Vietnam Ministries of Health and Construction. Hang has significant experience in delivering sexual and reproductive health projects including HIV/AIDS to under-served communities across Vietnam including poor women and men in remote rural and mountainous areas, adolescents and youths, migrant workers, ethnic minorities, commercial sex workers and intravenous drug users. She is responsible for a range of programs working with public and private sector healthcare providers funded by international donors, corporations and the Vietnamese government. She holds Bachelors degrees in English and Law, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii.</div>
<div><br></div><div>---------------------------------------------------------------</div><div>Stephen Mills has been Country Director for Family Health International (FHI) in Vietnam since 2004. FHI's portfolio under his management includes capacity building support to the Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Labour Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), provincial health services and local NGOs in HIV prevention, care, and treatment; drug treatment, including methadone; social work capacity building and integration into health services; research in innovative dengue control; clinical trials management and support to pharmaceuticals and the MOH; and tobacco control. He served as founding Co-Chair of the HIV sub-committee of the Global Fund Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) and as a full member of the CCM in Vietnam for 4 years. Steve currently serves as a member of the Global Fund Technical Review Panel. Prior to his work in Vietnam, Steve served as Associate Director of FHI's Asia-Pacific Regional Office in Bangkok, Thailand where he provided technical assistance in HIV and behavioural surveillance to countries throughout the Asia region. He holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.</div>
