Scope of Work

PEPFAR/USAID/FHI

Interpreter for field Mentor for drug addiction counselors and case
managers of the transitional program in HCMC

Since January 2006, the Transition Program managed by the HCMC
Provincial AIDS Committee (PAC) and supported by USAID through PEPFAR
has been established. FHI supported the development of a case management
network to support the successful integration of returnees from drug
rehabilitation centers to the community. Twenty eight case managers (CM)
and drug addiction counsellors were recruited and equipped with skills
and knowledge in drug dependence counselling, relapse prevention, HIV
care and treatment; psychosocial support and involvement of families in
the prevention of drug relapse.

 

In order to ensure good quality of services, FHI is looking for an
interpreter for a volunteer from well-establish international
organization to work with FHI team to provide mentoring and clinical
supervision to the case managers and drug counsellors on a daily basis. 

 

Duration: 22 months (from 1 June 2009 to 31 March 2011).

 

Working Station:

The interpreter will have a working space at FHI office in HCMC. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities of interpreter position:

The interpreter will work with expert and FHI Project Officer to:

1. Being interpreter for foreign expert of transitional program

2. Translating relevant document of the project

3. Performing other tasks when project needs


 


Essential qualifications and work experience of Interpreter:

-          Bachelor in English

-          Strong team orientation with a willingness to contribution

-          Willing to travel.

-          Excellent understanding of English and fluent in spoken and
written English

-          Good computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

-          Experience from an international NGO is an advantage.

-          Mature, highly ethical, responsible and professional
approaches in all dealings are required.

-          Ability to work under high pressure.
