PROJECT OFFICER FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
CARE in Vietnam is a Non-Government Organisation representing the CARE
International network. CARE in Vietnam is a creative and dynamic
organisation, working with Vietnamese partners in the sectors of health,
rural development and disaster mitigation and preparedness.
CARE in Vietnam is looking for Project Officer for a community development
project. The Project aims to improve access to safe water for ethnic poor
people in two communes in Lac Son district, Hoa Binh province through the
adoption of new water facility models, capacity building and advocacy
approaches.
Position: Project Officer
Working Location: Based in Hanoi with frequent travel
to project sites
Contract Duration: One year with a strong possibility
of extension contract
Closing date for applicant: 20 May 2009
Main duties: The Project Officer is responsible to assist the Project
Manager to carry out project activities and to assist in financial and
administrative work.

Selection criteria:
- University graduate in any field, preferably in social sciences.
- At least one-year experience of development works, preferably
with NGOs.
- Good written and oral communication skill in English and
Vietnamese
- Great administration skills (computer literacy, office and time
management)
- Good facilitation skills and participatory approach
- High level of liaison, representational and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of Rural Water and Sanitation Supply (RWSS) sector
issues and approaches to address these RWSS.
A salary package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
