a WEB DEVELOPER CONSULTANT TEAM OPPORTUNITY FOR 

the Joint Advocacy Network Initiative (JANI)

 

CARE International in Vietnam is looking for an IT company or a group of IT
consultants who can provide the highest quality web site design, development
and functionality for about 2 months starting immediately from July to 30
September 2009.

 

1.         Project Description

The Joint Advocacy Network Initiative (JANI) is a joint project funded by
ECHO, coordinated by CARE International in Vietnam, involving a number NGOs.
The project's specific objective is to strengthen the community based
disaster risk management (CBDRM) advocacy and implementation through
effective networking and joint initiatives. 

 

2.         Scope of Consultancy work

*	Work closely with CCFSC staff and JANI staff to collect data,
understand and analyze all necessary requirements.
*	Create design prototypes, including graphic design, site navigation,
and layout of contents 
*	Facilitate review meetings concerning the website progress and
quality
*	Develop the website under the guidance of JANI's IT officer.
*	Develop guideline documents for the new website. 
*	Conduct all necessary trainings for DDMFSC staff for operation and
maintenance purposes.

 

3.         Qualifications and experience

The consultants should include 2 members: Web Designer and Web Developer

a) For Web Designer:

*	Minimum two years of graphic designing experience. Good fresh
graduate consultants with high confidence can be accepted.
*	Strong skills for Corel Draw, Adobe family, Flash, Dream Weaver,
HTML, CSS and Javascript.
*	Should have a strong skill for HTML and CSS coding based on W3C.
*	Experience with Flash is an asset.

 

b) For Web Developer

*	University degree in the field of computer science and/or at least 3
years of equivalent work experience.
*	Advanced knowledge of standards-based XHTML and CSS coding (not
WYSIWYG)
*	Knowledge of programming languages including .NET and XML.
*	Extensive experience in designing web sites.
*	Experience with web-based software applications.
