JOB VACANCIES
World Vision Vietnam (WVV) invites competent Vietnamese candidates for the
following positions:
1. OPERATION TEAM LEADER (1 position), work base: negotiable.
Main Responsibilities: This position is to provide strategic leadership and
management to the entire Field Operations in Area Development Programs
(ADP), Relief and special/Grant projects and to ensure all projects comply
with the World Vision Partnership’s standards, including LEAP.
Area Development Program (ADP) is an approach to child focused development,
emphasizing the process of community participation, sustainability, and
integrating activities in the areas of food security, agriculture,
micro-enterprise, health, nutrition, education, water, and sanitation.
Requirements:
Must have a post graduate degree and have at least ten years experience
in development work in a developing country, especially in a restricted
context, and within World Vision.
Must have given leadership for at least 5 year to the entire Operations
in a National Office, preferably in Asia. Well versed with World
Vision’s Mission, Core Values, policies, procedures, operations and
ministry as a whole.
Must have good management and supervisory experience.
Experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, proposal
writing and evaluation and report writing is essential.
Must have good communication skills and ability to work in a
cross-cultural environment.
Should be spiritually mature and have prior experience in mentoring
others.
Must have computer literacy.
Proven integrity and open to change is a must for this position.
2. CHILD PROTECTION COORDINATOR (1 position), work base: negotiable but
preferably in Hanoi.
Main Responsibilities: This position is to support WVV in full compliance
with the partnership Child Protection standards; Working alongside with
the ADPs and projects, Advocacy department, Quality Support Department
and Sponsorship Unit to provide guidance, technical support and
competency building for quality and consistency in addressing child
well-being (development, survival and protection) throughout WVV’s
programs.
Requirements:
Master's degree in child development, education, social sciences or
relevant discipline and/or related field experience.
A minimum of four years’ experience working for an NGO in child
survival, protection and/or development.
Proven skills as a strategic thinker and writer.
Cross-cultural experience, understanding and sensitivity.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Proven adult training ability.
Superior oral and written communication skills with a variety of
audiences.
Strong organizational/time management skills with abilities at
multi-tasking.
Demonstrated knowledge base and/or experience in the following areas:
Child Protection, Development, Survival Children in Crisis/Children in
Especially Difficult Circumstances, Adult Education Skills
Community-based programming, Transformational Development, the TD
Domains of Change, DME (LEAP).
Ability to develop and communicate strategies.
Research experience and concept paper/proposal writing skills.
Commitment to WV’s Core Values, Mission, Vision.
Flexible, adaptable, team player, dependable & self-motivated.
Ability to travel up to 50% and work in a variety of locations, often
with only basic amenities.
Fluency in English.
Computer literate and effective abilities in Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
