PROGRAMME COORDINATOR FOR EDUCATION PROGRAMME
Reference number: INT3409
The post is offered on an open-ended contract, based in Hanoi.

Who we are?
Founded in 1942, Oxfam Great Britain made its first grant in Vietnam in 
1955, and is now a leading global development and humanitarian 
organization. Oxfam GB's programmes in Vietnam range across sectors 
including rural livelihoods and infrastructure, basic education, disaster 
management, and national level social and economic policy change. Oxfam GB 
is a member of Oxfam International. 
The role:        To develop and manage Oxfam GB's Education Programme in 
Vietnam. This focuses on improvement of access to and quality of education 
for disadvantaged children, especially girls and ethnic minorities, and on 
supporting effective governance in the education sector. 

Reports to:                    Country Director
Staff reporting to the post:   Programme Officer (2), Programme Assistant 
(1)
The requirements:
Proven experience in development of programme strategic planning.
Sound experience in programme management and negotiation, including 
participatory approaches.
Good understanding of educational issues in Vietnam. 
Good understanding and practical experience in application of equity 
issues (Gender and diversity).
Experience in advocacy work in the Vietnam context; good analytical and 
planning skills at programme and policy level.
Sound experience in working with partners, including government and 
non-government organizations. 
Good leadership and management skills, experience in resource management 
e.g. people, finances, assets.
University degree, preferably in education, social science or/and 
management.
Strong written and spoken English and Vietnamese.
Good computer skills.
Able to travel to programme/project areas on a regular basis.
Gross Annual Salary Range:      US$ 19,500 – US$ 27,500
