TERMS OF REFERENCE

Accountant

 

The Dariu Foundation (TDF) is a publicly recognized private foundation of
Swiss origin. Its mission is every households of low income accessible to
microfinance services for employment, income improvement, and realizing more
investment in their children's education. 

At the present, the Dariu Foundation is implementing programs of
micro-finance, scholarship and school-building in Dong Nai and Vinh Long
with considerable expansion, TDF in Vietnam is looking for a qualified
Vietnamese to fill in Accountant position. 

 

Duty station: This position will be based in HCMC office with frequent
travel to project sites.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

The Accountant will work under the direct supervision of the Office Manager
(and/or GM), in completing the following duties:

 

1.      Maintain records of all expenditures related to Mutual Assistance
Fund (MAF), keeping them transparent and up-to-date and always ready for
accessibility.

2.      Prepare requests for payment, review and approval of application for
payment forms for signature by the GM.

3.      Be responsible for the preparation of all MAF reports and status of
finances to the GM

4.      Supervise and report to the GM on financial transactions such as
banking and payment of MAF.

5.      Supervise branches and local staff in maintenance of MAF records,
payment to members

6.      Be responsible for producing list of members to pay MAF fee for
every loan officers on a timely manner. 

7.      Be responsible for ensuring timely transactions from the central to
local accounts. 

8.      Be responsible for maintenance of online MAF system 

9.      Liaise with banks on related issues.

10.   Other tasks as directed by the Office Manager or GM (whenever
relevant).


Minimum Qualifications Required:


.   University degree in finance, accounting or economics or equivalent 

.   At least 2 years of working experience

.   Proficiency in using of Microsoft office tools

.   Demonstrated team spirit, and independent skills

.   Good command of English is an asset.
