Dear Colleagues,

The UNDP Viet Nam seeks 01 International consultant for Project: "Strengthening national capacities to respond to climate change in Viet Nam, reducing vulnerability and controlling greenhouse gas emissions".

The project entitled "Strengthening national capacities to respond to climate change in Viet Nam, reducing vulnerability and controlling greenhouse gas emissions" is funded by UNDP and jointly implemented by the Ministry Of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), over the period from 2009 -2012.

The project is closely aligned with the implementation of the National Target Programme to Respond to Climate Change (NTP-RCC), especially the task "'increase awareness and enhance human resources" (Sec. III, point 05). Within this framework, the project focuses on capacity building, policy development, evidence-based research and policy dialogues (the project document can be downloaded from http://www.undp.org.vn/what-we-do/more-projects-summaries/?languageId=1).

A Consultant will be selected to provide technical advices on strategic  planning, formulating research plans to provide contribution to policy dialogues under the guidance of the Head of UNDP Sustainable Development Cluster and the National Project Director (NPD). The consultant is also requested to transfer international experience/practices and help with coaching of project staff.
