The World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) is one of a network of the
Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). As a
global leader in agroforestry research and development, ICRAF's ultimate
purpose is to improve human welfare by reducing poverty, increasing cash
income, improving food and nutritional security, and increasing
environmental resilience through improved agroforestry systems. ICRAF has
its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya and works in 21 countries throughout
Africa, Asia and Latin America. 

 

Since 2011, ICRAF Vietnam has been collaborating with research partners and
the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in the three provinces
of Yen Bai, Son La and Dien Bien in implementing a research project
"Agroforestry for Livelihoods of Smallholder Farmers in North-West Vietnam".
The project aims to improve the performance of smallholder farming systems
in North-West Vietnam through agroforestry, while addressing the
environmental problems.

 

To ensure the smoothly implementation of the project activities, ICRAF is
seeking for an open-minded, dynamic and energetic field technician, who will
be based in the northwest region of Vietnam. The detail information in the
attached file fyi.
