Technological University (NTU), Singapore!




The OCPA8 Conference on Physics and Education: Looking Forward to Quantum 
Frontiers and Beyond

(23 to 27 June 2014, NTU School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences)





The OCPA conferences began in 1995 and are effective forums to highlight 
latest breakthroughs and achievements by physicists and astronomers 
worldwide, promote
 physics research and teaching, and also to enhance research collaboration 
among ethnic and non-Chinese scientists from various parts of the world.  A 
wide range of
interdisciplinary topics will be discussed, including astronomy and 
astrophysics, biophysics, materials science, energy and environmental 
physics, computational and mathematical physics, photonics, statistical 
mechanics,
 quantum computing etc. There will also be roundtable discussions on 
regional science collaboration and science education with Nobel Laureates 
and distinguished scientists.




One highlight of this year’s conference (8th in the series) is the
OCPA-APS Outstanding Conference Poster Awards which are jointly sponsored by 
the American Physical Society (APS) and OCPA (International Organization of 
Chinese Physicists and Astronomers). We welcome all interested
 students and researchers to register and submit poster presentations. All 
posters will be considered for the prestigious 2014 OCPA-APS Outstanding 
Conference Awards.

Please note the deadline for submission of abstracts is
15 May.
