organization. Oxfam GB's programmes in Vietnam range across sectors including
rural livelihoods and infrastructure, basic education, disaster management,
and national level social and economic policy change. Oxfam GB is a member of

<P><FONT face=Arial size=2><B>The role:</B> To
develop and manage Oxfam GB's Education Programme in Vietnam. This focuses on
improvement of access to and quality of education for disadvantaged children,
especially girls and ethnic minorities, and on supporting effective governance
in the education sector.</FONT><FONT face=Arial size=3> </FONT><BR><BR><FONT

<UL>
<LI><FONT face=Arial size=2>Proven experience in development of programme
strategic planning.</FONT>
<LI><FONT face=Arial size=2>Sound experience in programme management and
negotiation, including participatory approaches.</FONT>
<LI><FONT face=Arial size=2>Good understanding of educational issues in
Vietnam. </FONT>
<LI><FONT face=Arial size=2>Good understanding and practical experience in
application of equity issues (Gender and diversity).</FONT>
<LI><FONT face=Arial size=2>Experience in advocacy work in the Vietnam
context; good analytical and planning skills at programme and policy
level.</FONT>
<LI><FONT face=Arial size=2>Sound experience in working with partners,
including government and non-government organizations. </FONT>
<LI><FONT face=Arial size=2>Good leadership and management skills,
experience in resource management e.g. people, finances, assets.</FONT>
<LI><FONT face=Arial size=2>University degree, preferably in education,
social science or/and management.</FONT>
<LI><FONT face=Arial size=2>Strong written and spoken English and
Vietnamese.</FONT>
<LI><FONT face=Arial size=2>Good computer skills.</FONT>
<LI><FONT face=Arial size=2>Able to travel to programme/project areas on a
regular basis.</FONT>
