is an autonomous research center established under the Institute of Policy and
Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development (IPSARD), within Ministry of
Agriculture and Rural Development. RUDEC has conducted a variety of policy
research studies which have covered a wide range of topics, including rural
economy and society, rural organizations and institutions, public services,
agricultural R&D, food supply chains, commodity chain and quality
management, geographical indication development, production system, development
strategy and poverty reduction, food security, climate change, regional
equality and farming monitoring system. RUDEC’s research activities serve a
wide range of clients including national government, donor and international
agencies, international and national non-government organizations and farmers.</span></p>
