<font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma">The Vietnam Development Information Center is pleased to announce the 3rd batch of</font><font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma"><b> </b></font><font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma">the</font><font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma"><b> blended learning program on "Science and Policy of Climate Change"</b></font><font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma"> which is jointly developed by </font><font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma"><i>The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), and Tokyo Development Learning Center (TDLC)</i></font><font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma"> as a response to the increasing global concerns over climate change and its impacts on our lives.</font>
<p><font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma">Over twelve weeks</font><font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma"><b> from September 13 to December 16 2013</b></font><font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma">, the Program consists of four learning modules with each module consuming of 20 - 25 hours and will be delivered through a blended learning format comprising videoconferencing lectures, video-recorded lectures, academic articles and multimedia communications among others. The course's instructions, learning resources and class interactions are made available through the Moodle learning management system. Language of instructions and communications of the course is English. </font>
<p><font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma">Target audience of the Program includes development practitioners, policy makers, corporate sector, graduates and mid-level professionals with proficiency in English. After completion of the programme, the participants are expected to:</font>
<ul style="padding-left: 18pt"><br>
<font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma">� Develop a holistic understanding of the climate change problem, which can potentially affect all dimensions of life (business, society, environment, etc);</font>
<p><font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma">� Acquire technical skills required to address problems with respect to the varied dimensions of climate change;</font>
<p><font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma">� Identify, create, and reflect upon 'integrated approaches' and appropriate interventions that may lead to taking necessary action and coping with climate change; and</font>
<p><font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma">� Put theory into practice by applying science into policy making, exploring the risks and opportunities for business, formulating sound strategies for adaptation and mitigation and understanding the interface between development and climate change.</font></ul>

<font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma">A tuition fee of </font><font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma"><b>US$ 120</b></font><font size="2" color="#0000FF" face="Tahoma"> will be applied per resident from Vietnam, including Vietnamese and foreigners currently living in Vietnam. This fee is already reduced under the sponsorship of the Vietnam Development Information Center, World Bank in Vietnam. </font>
