[Ngo-lwg] Epic flooding in Balkans raises fears about landmines surfacing

I just received this CNN report from a friend in the U.S. who asked, "Is
this potentially a problem in Vietnam as well?"

Everyone who has worked in mine action in central Vietnam knows that floods
have long been a problem, unearthing and washing up to the surface various
items of unexploded ordnance and moving UXO around, sometimes carrying
items back into areas that were previously cleared and considered safe.
