[Ngo-lwg] Fwd: LWG Members - Call to join MAPG Technical Working Groups

Dear LWG members

Following the meeting of the LWG on 11 August, we are now contacting 
members to identify who would like to volunteer for involvement in the 
four Thematic Working Groups (TWGs), established by the MAPG.

As discussed during the meeting the TWGs offer those taking part an 
opportunity to have a voice in shaping actions and strategies in four of 
the key areas currently impacting the Humanitarian Mine Action sector in 
Vietnam:

*/1.      Study and contribute comments to the development of 
Circular(s) guiding the implementation of the Government Decree on 
implementation and management of mine action; update and finalize the 
national standards and technical regulations on mine action/*/(VNMAC)/

*/2. /**Evaluate the curent situation of victim assistance (VA) and mine 
risk education (MRE), experiences, lessons and efficient models applied 
on the field*///(MOLISA)**/

*/3. /**/Status of information management and recommendations for the 
development and operation of the National Database Center on mine

/4. *Overview on mobilization, utilization and management of supporting 
resources for mine action in Vietnam* (MPI)/

The team leaders for each of the TWGs have been confirmed already, as 
included in brackets above. Each TWG will work on its particular theme 
and will be reporting back on progress at the MAPG forum meeting, 
provisionally scheduled for the end of November 2017 (actual date to be 
confirmed).

If your organisation is interested to join any of the above four groups, 
please can you respond to this email with both Thu Ha (International 
Centre) and me in copy. The deadline for responses is */Tuesday 5 
September 2017/*. We will then be in contact with further details 
regarding your involvement.

Please note it is fine if your organisation wishes to join more than one 
TWG.
