Earlier, the Border Guards of Tam Thanh Post found a bomb which surfaced on the ground near Se Pon River that flows through A Ho Village, Thanh Commune. The area had a lot of downpour that caused landslide the other days. The item was identified as a 1.8m, 500lb MK8 bomb. Được biết đây là loại bom MK8 dài 1,8 m, đường kính điểm lớn nhất gần 50 cm, nặng gần 500 kg. <br><br>Trong cuộc kháng chiến chống Mỹ cứu nước khu vực các xã vùng Lìa trong đó có xã Thanh thuộc huyện Hướng Hóa luôn là địa bàn trọng điểm, vì vậy hiện vẫn còn sót lại khá nhiều bom đạn trong lòng đất gây nguy hiểm đến tính mạng của người dân.
