Dear Friends,
This issue is becoming more ludicrous by the day. It would be amusing if it were not so sad.  Professor le Dinh Luong, who is quoted in this article, and who is Vietnam's Genetics Association Chair states, amongst other non-factual and misleading information, the following:
"GM crops do not suddenly fall down from the sky. They have been grown in the fields of Vietnam for dozens of years. The only difference is that now they now have added insect resistance and herbicide genes, so we can be completely assured that it it fine to use them," said Dr. Le Huy Ham, Director of the Vietnam Agricultural Genetics Institute.
He fails to state that the herbicide genes he refers to are some of the same chemical composition as Agent Orange.  The same Agent Orange that has killed or maimed over 3 million Vietnamese victims. Manufactured by the same company who are selling these seeds in Vietnam - yes, Monsanto!
"Completely assured that it is fine to use them"  Give me a break, we are not all as gullible as the professor thinks we are.  Monsanto said the same thing about Agent Orange - and look at how that lie continues to devastate the victims of Agent Orange, especially here in Vietnam.

Monsanto has NEVER compensated the Vietnamese Victims of Agent Orange - how dare they return here, with more lies, and more devastation!  Incredible!
