Hello everyone,

On behalf of co-chair Dr. Tran Thi Tuyet Hanh, welcome to tomorrow’s
meeting of the NGO Agent Orange Working Group, our first meeting in quite a
long time. We are overdue to gather and share news and views and recent
developments concerning Agent Orange / dioxin and the continuing impact of
this issue in Viet Nam.

The agenda is not long, but the content should be informative and useful,
and will include a bit of organizational housekeeping at the end that we
need to dispense with.

AGENDA:

1. Brief introduction of each participant present and organization(s)
represented.

2. Presentation by Dr. Le Ke Son, author with Dr. Charles Bailey of a
new book entitled *>From Enemies to Partners Vietnam – the U.S. and Agent
Orange.* Dr. Son is an MD and Ph.D. in toxicology who has worked on the
Agent Orange / dioxin issue with the Vietnam Red Cross, Committee 33, the
Vietnam Environmental Administration, and as Vietnamese co-chair of the
United States-Vietnam Joint Advisory Committee. He recently completed a
book-signing tour of cities in the U.S. with Dr. Bailey to introduce their
new book. Following Dr. Son’s presentation there will be Q&A session and
discussion.

3. Update and sharing of information about activities, projects,
developments over the past year in connection with Agent Orange / dioxin.

4. Discussion of AOWG mission and in 2018; most appropriate role for the
working group in today’s situation.

5. Election of co-chairs for 2018 and 2019.

6. Any other business, adjournment.

Please confirm your attendance with Ms. Phan Thu Ha, Senior WGs Coordinator
at the NGO Resource Centre, email haphan at ngocentre.org.vn.
