*Are your network – or some of its member organisations working on reducing
fossil fuel subsidies* – we invite you to forward this mail to them or to
 provide us with relevant contact information – name, organization, mail
address. *Please respond before March 1st*****

We ask you for this because the *Danish Ministry For Climate and Energy is
looking for “a couple of key countries … with strong civil society partners
which the ministry  can link up to on promoting reforms of fossil fuels
subsidies”.  *The Ministry has set aside a budget for civil society support
on fossil fuels reform. ****

** **

The key focus of the Ministry is on middle-income  growth economies  – *but
we wish to suggest to the Ministry also to consider low-income developing
countries. *

** **

The countries mentioned by the Ministry for as possible focus countries are
the following:  *Chile and Colombia, India, Indonesia, Brazil, Thailand,
Malaysia, others in South East Asia.*

** **

*In Vietnam, Mexico and South Africa* – the Danish Government is already
cooperating with the governments – but would like to involve civil society
also “if an NGO-partnership could be a regular partnership with the
specific governments”.****
