[Ngo Climate Change] New book: Mangroves of the Kien Giang Biosphere Reserve Vietnam

Dear all,

 

Mangroves of the Kien Giang Biosphere Reserve Vietnam is a new book released
by GIZ. It gives an up-to-date overview of various mangrove species
throughout Kien Giang province. The book with clear writing, illustrated by
a large numbers of photos, as said, is "an important resource for community,
land managers, provincial staff and visitors alike." Climate change
practitioners will find it useful, too.

Dear Nga,

 

Dr. Sharon Brown, GIZ teamleader for Kien Giang and An Giang has produced a
book on the various mangrove species found in Kien Giang. A total 40
mangrove species occur in Viet Nam. Since 27 of these species occur in Kien
Giang the book covers 27 of 40 Mangrove species occurring in Vietnam.

 

Information on these species and their requirements is important for any
organization involved in the replanting of mangrove areas.

 

Up to now the book is available as pdf file and hard copy in English only.
They are working on the Vietnamese versions.
