Dear all,
Many of you may know about Mass Open Online Courses (MOOC) which are now
available & free for millions of people around the world. MOCC will be
transforming our traditional higher education systems. Thomas L. Friedman
(Author of The world is flat) even sees MOCC as "Revolution hits the
Universities
<http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/27/opinion/sunday/friedman-revolution-hits-t
he-universities.html?_r=0> ". At the moment, Coursera
<https://www.coursera.org/> is the most popular platform and you can pick
up any course you like among hundreds available.
EdX (link below) is another platform initiated by Havard and MIT on which
many new courses on climate change and energy may be useful for your work.
Enjoy learning!!!
Bests,

Courses Online
Colleagues,
Harvard, MIT, Georgetown and a few other big name US universities have been
running free online courses for a few semesters now. The range of courses on
offer has been growing rapidly along with their popularity and they've
recently expanded to include climate change and energy issues. Content
typically includes filmed lectures, Q&A sessions, discussion forums, regular
feedback sessions as well as recommending core texts. You can usually watch
lectures in your own time and they tend to have questions that you have to
answer after each lecture. Assessments vary for each university and each
course and there's usually the option to audit them.
You'll find a few energy/climate change related courses in the link below
but feel free to filter the search to see what else they have to offer.
