[Ngo Climate Change] Invitation to "Consultation workshop combined model visit on renewable energy contributing to GHG emission reduction" - 25th June 2013

Dear CCWG colleagues, 

 

In December 2011 the Government of Vietnam approved the National Climate
Change Strategy (NCCS). NCCS clearly indicates that the development of
renewable energy (RE) is one of the important tasks to reduce greenhouse gas
emissions (GHG). As part of the Action Plan in 2013, Mitigation sub-group of
the Climate Change Working Group (CCWG) is organizing a consultation
workshop on renewable energy combined with model visit in Hanoi.

 

Objectives of the workshop:

1)    Sharing and updating information on potential and current situation of
renewable energy in Vietnam;

2)    Discussing opportunities and challenges for CCWG and CSOs in policy
advocacy related to RE development in Vietnam to contribute to greenhouse
gas (GHG) emission reduction.

Time: Tuesday, June 25th 2013 (From 8:00 to 17:00)

Avenue:  Morning: Visiting two models at  Phu Dong commune, Gia Lam
district, Hanoi (VACVINA's Hybrid Biogas model) and Solar PV model in Kim
Giang-Thanh Xuan-Hanoi; Afternoon: Consultation Workshop at 12nd Floor
conference hall (turn right) of assembly guest house No 02 Hoang Cau street.

will be based on your working area (RE/mitigation), your location, arrival
and departure time.
