Long Xuyên, An Giang, tháng 10 năm 2013 – Các tổ chức về người khuyết tật, Hội Chữ thập đỏ Việt Nam, Hội Liên Hiệp Phụ nữ Việt Nam, cùng các tổ chức phát triển quốc tế như CARE, Hội Chữ thập đỏ Úc và Hội Chữ thập đỏ Đức chung tay vào ngày mai để đưa người khuyết tật thành tâm điểm trong quản lý thảm họa nhân dịp Việt Nam cùng thế giới kỷ niệm Ngày Giảm nhẹ Rủi ro Thảm họa Quốc tế.

 

Một lượng lớn cán bộ và nhân dân đã có mặt tại An Giang để cùng nhau hiểu hơn về năng lực của người khuyết tật và vận động lồng ghép sâu rộng hơn cho những nhu cầu của người khuyết tật trong các chương trình biến đôi khí hậu và quản lý thiên tai. Bên cạnh bài phát biểu của đại diện Ủy ban nhân dân tỉnh An Giang, đài truyền hình An Giang sẽ chủ trì một buổi tọa đàm với sự tham gia của các hội viên Hội người khuyết tật An Giang, Hội Chữ thập đỏ tỉnh, Hội Liên hiệp phụ nữ tỉnh và Ban phòng chống bão lụt tỉnh.

 

Lễ kỷ niệm ngày giảm nhẹ rủi ro thảm họa quốc tế của tỉnh được tổ chức tại khách sạn Long Xuyên, thành phố Long Xuyên, từ 8h tới 11h sáng, ngày thứ Ba, 29 tháng 10.

Dear sir/madam, 

 

Long Xuyen, An Giang, October 2013 – Disability organizations, the Viet Nam Red Cross, Viet Nam Women’s Union and international development organizations CARE, Australian Red Cross and German Red Cross together join hands tomorrow to position people with disabilities at the heart of disaster management as Viet Nam joins the world in celebration of the International Day for Disaster Reduction.

 

A large number of people will gather in An Giang to raise awareness of the strengths of people with disabilities and to advocate for better inclusion of their needs in disaster and climate change programming. In addition to the speeches of keynote speakers like the An Giang People’s Committee, a talk show will be also hosted by An Giang Television with participation of the An Giang Disabilities’ Association and their members, the An Giang Red Cross, Women’s Union and Committee for Flood and Storm Control.              

 

Local celebrations for the International Day for Disaster Reduction will be held in the Dong Xuyen Hotel, Long Xuyen, from 8am to 11am on Tuesday, October 29.
