Việt Nam là một trong những quốc gia dễ bị tổn thương nhất do ảnh hưởng của
biến đổi khí hậu. Trong hai thập kỷ qua, ước tính mỗi nãm Việt Nam đã thiệt
hại từ 1% ðến 1,5% GDP do các thảm họa thiên nhiên. Từ nãm 2000 đến nãm
2010, tổng lượng khí thải nhà kính của Việt Nam đã tãng 150%. Nếu không có
những giải pháp ứng phó với biến đổi khí hậu, Việt Nam sẽ không thể tãng
trưởng và giảm nghèo bền vững.
