[Ngo Climate Change] FW: Ask the advocacy expert: Invitation to the Kick-off Meeting of the Advocacy Expert Group

Dear CCWG members and colleagues,

We are very happy to announce the kick-off meeting of the advocacy expert support group for CCWG and would like to cordially invite you to this new and unique meeting format in Hanoi. - The advocacy expert group forms part of a comprehensive advocacy training and support package aimed  at helping CCWG members to improve their skills for planning and implementing advocacy as well as facilitating putting advocacy initiatives effectively into practice.

We are pleased to announce that we were able to win the support of two international experts, Paula Hannemann, advocacy expert and strategic advisor of change.org  and  Mr. Severin Peters, expert for strategic communication with GIZ,  who will be our resource persons during the advocacy expert support groups' first meeting.
These two professionals with many years of experience in advocacy and strategic communication in a wide range of NGO and private sector settings will answer your questions around advocacy and communication. This is  also a unique opportunity to discuss the challenges you might encounter in your advocacy work and get advice on how to tackle advocacy-related  problems you have already encountered in your own working context.

We would like to make the meeting as effective as possible for all participants. Therefore, we would ask you to communicate any specific questions or issues you have related to advocacy to either  dorothea.konstantinidis at giz.de<mailto:dorothea.konstantinidis at giz.de> or NguyenAnh.Minh at careint.org<mailto:NguyenAnh.Minh at careint.org> no later than Tuesday, 26 Nov 5 pm so we can forward them to the experts and  give them the chance to prepare specifically for your questions.  We will send  the final agenda after we received your inputs.

We also  kindly ask you to confirm your participation no later than Tuesday, 27 Nov 5 pm to me at  dorothea.konstantinidis at giz.de<mailto:dorothea.konstantinidis at giz.de>  so we can make the necessary logistic arrangements.
CCWG will continue to strengthen the capacity of the network members to plan and implement advocacy in the next year. To achieve this goal we have developed a wide range of approaches, reaching from  building capacity in advocacy and communication through workshops and trainings, to setting up task forces to facilitate putting advocacy effectively into practice as well as by establishing a close exchange with experts and peer-to peer learning processes.

We are very much looking forward to seeing you at the kick-off meeting of the advocacy experts support group next week.
