Dear Sir/Madam,

 

Vietnam is one of the most vulnerable countries to climate change. To address this, at the Paris Climate Agreement 2015, the Government of Vietnam stated its commitment of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 8% with domestic resources by 2030 compared to the Business-as-Usual scenario; and up to 25% with international supports. Every effort counts in the implementation of Vietnam NDC. 

 

Green Office (GO) has been considered as an option to contribute to the GHG emissions reduction and gradually appealing in Vietnam by virtue of being trendy and appropriate to every office type. This has been showcased in 11 offices across Vietnam under the Project “Upscale and Mainstream Green Office Lifestyles in Vietnam” implemented by the Asian Institute of Technology in Vietnam (AIT-VN) with significant results, including reduction of operation costs, improvement of work effectiveness, and enhancement of eco- and human-friendly working environment. GO has performed as a practical initiative to the average reduction of 6.0% GHG emissions, contributing to national GHG emissions reduction target. 

 

In order to distribute the GO concept and benefits, establish GO Criteria and Certification, AIT-VN organizes the Policy dialogue workshop on Sustainable Lifestyles – Green Office Initiative.

 

Time: 8.30 – 11.30, 8th November 2018

Location: Fortuna Hotel, 6B Lang Ha, Hanoi

Target participants: - Representatives from related Ministries and other ministry-level agencies

- Representatives from NGOs and research institutions

- Representatives from participating offices and project experts

- Interested individuals and organizations

“Thúc đẩy và nhân rộng lối sống Văn phòng Xanh tại Việt Nam” là sáng kiến thúc đẩy và nhân rộng các mô hình và hành vi của Lối sống Bền vững Các - bon thấp cho nhóm người tiêu dùng là nhân viên văn phòng, tập trung vào 3 lĩnh vực tiêu dùng chính, gồm năng lượng, chất thải, nước. Trong phạm vi dự án, 10 văn phòng tại Hà Nội, TP. Hồ Chí Minh và Đà Nẵng sẽ được lựa chọn để triển khai Lối sống Văn phòng Xanh từ tháng 8/2017đến tháng 5/2018.
