Co-organized by: Adaptation Fund, Climate Wise Women, Global Resilience Partnership, and World Resources Institute

 

We would like to invite you as a participant to a conversation with grassroots' group leaders and donor institution representatives to reflect on successes and lessons learned in furthering locally led climate adaptation action.The first in a series of regionally focused dialogues, this session will focus on grassroots funding in Africa. This dialogue will work to identify the present gaps in effective funding relationships and contribute to the Global Commission on Adaptation's Locally Led Action Track. The dialogue will cover relevant topics including:
Effective coordination and inclusion in designing programs
Building trusting, transparent grassroots-donor partnerships
Connecting effective grassroots climate resilience work to donors and new opportunities 
Conditions and mechanisms for greater and more effective funding of locally led action
Methods for capturing and sharing lessons learned in successful grassroots-donor experiences
