I hope you are well. We are currently looking for a National Consultant<https://procurement-notices.undp.org/view_notice.cfm?notice_id=83710> to produce a policy brief on gender mainstreaming in the National Climate Change Strategy 2020-2030.

The key objective of the assignment is to develop a policy brief (15 pages maximum) that highlight key policy recommendations for gender mainstreaming and women empowerement in Viet Nam’s National Strategy on Climate Change (2021-2030). The National Consultant will work closely with UNDP Programme Officer on Climate Change and DRR, the Gender Focal Point for NAP at UNDP, and UN Women and GIZ

We hope that this assignment will contribute to our joint efforts in mainstreaming gender equality and women empowerment into climate policies.

To this end, I have created a google drive<https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1FqWFP6VD6VZCqdb-YkLtSt12oOo2tnpP> to centralise all resources related to gender and climate change. Since the lack thereof came up many times during our discussions and workshops, it would be beneficial if all of us could upload their most relevant research on the topic, ensuring synergies of efforts and building on what has been said already and by doing so avoid duplicating research.

I also created a brief table mapping the current consultancies (that I am aware of) on the topic of gender x climate change (e.g the work of the CCWG, SNV/Richard, and UNDP’s upcoming work on NAP/ and NCCS).

I hope its useful. Kindly share it with your network and partners. Maybe Tu Anh could also share this drive with the participants to the ‘Empower Workshop’ with ISPONRE?
